Randall Wood

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Randall co-founded ScribeCount in 2018 with the vision of creating the leading author service platform on the web. His mission is to make ScribeCount the ultimate resource for every author’s needs, providing a comprehensive suite of tools and services to simplify the self-publishing process. He aims to bridge the gap between authors and the support they need to succeed in an ever-evolving digital landscape.

A writer since his high school days, Randall was an early adopter of Kindle and KDP, and has been self-publishing since 2009. His passion for writing and technology has driven him to constantly innovate and improve the way authors track and manage their sales data, while ensuring they have the tools necessary to focus on their craft.

Randall’s career began in the military, where he learned discipline, leadership, and the value of serving others. After transitioning into Emergency Medicine, he spent decades working both on the ground and in the air, helping people in critical situations. This experience shaped his problem-solving skills and ability to stay calm under pressure, qualities that have translated well into his entrepreneurial journey.

With a degree in Emergency Medical Services, Randall worked in both ground and air emergency services until his writing allowed him to retire early and focus on his business ventures. This transition marked the beginning of his deep dive into self-publishing, where he saw an opportunity to combine his technical expertise and passion for helping authors.

Now fully dedicated to ScribeCount, Randall also invests his time in various other business ventures and continues to write. His entrepreneurial spirit is driven by a desire to create lasting value for others, whether it’s through innovative technology solutions or by sharing his knowledge with fellow authors.

When he’s not developing new features for ScribeCount, Randall enjoys spending time at the beach with his wife and their giant dog, Henry. He’s often seen taxiing his two teenagers to their various activities or building something in his workshop. Known for his love of woodworking, Randall produces copious amounts of sawdust and enjoys bringing his creative ideas to life with his hands.

Suresh K Venkatapathi

Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer

Suresh leads the ScribeCount Development Team, leveraging over 18 years of experience in SaaS (Software as a Service) and cloud-based e-commerce platforms to bring the vision of ScribeCount to life. His dedication to building scalable, user-friendly solutions drives his work, and his ultimate goal is to make ScribeCount a platform that serves authors and creators from all backgrounds, regardless of their technical expertise. His focus is on delivering a seamless user experience while integrating advanced features that make self-publishing easier and more efficient.

Suresh holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Applications and has a deep understanding of data governance, e-commerce architecture, and the implementation of complex web solutions. His career is marked by a commitment to innovation and a passion for solving challenging technical problems.

In 2010, he founded VENSO Technologies, a leading provider of document scanning services, where he led the development of cutting-edge solutions for businesses looking to streamline their document management processes. This experience laid the foundation for his work in the tech and e-commerce industries, where he has consistently pushed the boundaries of what is possible.

In addition to his technical prowess, Suresh is known for his leadership skills and ability to build and inspire high-performing teams. His work at ScribeCount has been instrumental in developing the platform’s robust infrastructure, ensuring that it remains reliable, secure, and scalable as it grows.

Now based in Kentucky, Suresh is not only a technology leader but also an active member of his community. He is the Captain of the Kentucky Super Kings Cricket team, where his leadership extends beyond the tech world to the sports field. When he’s not on the cricket field, Suresh enjoys spending quality time with his wife, two sons, and their many birds, finding balance in family life and outdoor activities. His love for cricket and his passion for team dynamics mirror his approach to business—focused on collaboration, strategy, and achieving success together.

Mascot

Hello. I’m Henry. I’m not sure why I’m here, but my dad says I can be the mascot, whatever that is. I’m one years old and 170lbs, which dad says is “repulsively titanic”. That’s good right? Anyway, I’ll be dropping in and talking about stuff that has nothing to do with whatever dad does and coaching your fur baby’s on how to best distract you. Bring treats.
